For a while now we have been following the principles of the Sustainable Restaurant Association and a lot of time has gone into sourcing local produce which we serve at both the beach cafe and the pub.
SUSTAINABLE // LOCAL // ORGANIC // WILD
We are best known for brunch and burgers, although these days we actually sell more fish, crab and vegetarian dishes. The fish is landed right here in Brighton and is sustainably caught, and the organic beef we use for our burgers is local Sussex dry-aged (w Himalayan salt) rump and chuck straight from the farm.
We take our coffee pretty seriously and we run Brightons largest (and only) organic coffee roastery and supply most of the better cafes across the City including our own, Redroaster, located in St James Street. We also sell coffee online and partner exclusively with Selfridges.
For drinks, we make most of the softs ourselves so you can have with or without added sugar, We have our own Lucky Beach Brighton Pale Ale, along with local craft beers, local wine and a full range of fresh cocktails.
We can accommodate most dietary requirements and the menus are designed so that you shouldn't have to request too many changes if you have any restrictions or fears. Breakfast and brunch runs until 11:45, we then reset the kitchen and move to lunch.
The pork is local free-range, our super fresh Sussex organic eggs also come in straight from another farm . The bread is also from right here in Brighton. Sometimes if we cant source local veg then there may be some menu alterations. And exclusively, we now serve the UK's first vegan plant based bleeding burger from Moving Mountains®.. the B12 Burger.
